Marine engineering

Marine durability is a system, not a label.

A 316L tube alone does not create a marine-grade product. INFINEA develops the complete load path, fasteners, bearings, joints, finishes, drainage, cleaning and maintenance around the intended environment.

Material approach Valid role INFINEA perspective
Chrome-plated steel A bright and often grippy surface. Corrosion protection depends on a thin coating over carbon steel.
AISI 304 stainless steel A durable professional choice for many indoor and humid environments. Less resistant to chloride-induced pitting than 316L.
AISI 316L stainless steel Generally better suited to chloride-rich coastal atmospheres. Must be correctly fabricated, passivated, assembled and maintained.

Responsible claims

What we will publish—and when.

Can INFINEA say “rust-proof”?

No. Stainless steel can corrode in severe chloride environments or poor crevice design. Maintenance remains essential.

Is the product yacht certified?

No generic approval is claimed. Vessel installation requires project-specific engineering and any applicable conformity work.

When will load ratings be published?

Only after completed calculations, representative testing, approved instructions and supporting reports.
